Together

Scripture

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26‭-‬28 (NIV)

Paul tells us that we are all united by our faith in Christ. This verse captures what God wants for us in this divided world when He brought Jesus to the Earth. Division comes in far more forms than this scripture highlights. The human race is divided based on many different attributes: gender, religion, geography, political beliefs, and the list goes on and on. However, the one common denominator that we should embrace is Christ, and uniting with other believers. He is the bond that brings us all together under the Father.

At work we have an initiative called "Stronger Together." The goal is to merge three different teams into one consolidated group. Independently, we are all functioning just fine at handling our respective area and business units. However, the leadership team understands how much more we can accomplish together.

Within each team we all have our own unique talents and strengths. Some are great at networking, others in security, others in scripting, or others in support. If we bring all of these unique talents together, we can support one another as a united team. This is not a new principle. This is how God intended for us to thrive.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:27‭-‬28 (NIV)

If everyone is teaching, who would be available to learn? If everyone performs miracles, who would need a miracle? If everyone leads, who would be available to follow?

God made us with our own purpose that fits perfectly together with the purposes of others. If we join our individual purpose(s), with others we become stronger together through God.
